3 Days 2 Nights Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1: Moshi / Arusha to Central Serengeti Your safari adventure begins bright and early at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel in Moshi. Once aboard the safari vehicle, you'll head towards the iconic Serengeti National Park, covering the 240 km journey in approximately 6 hours. The word Serengeti translates to 'endless plains' in the local Maasai language — and true to its name, the vast grasslands seem to stretch to infinity, eventually merging with the sky at the horizon. Spanning an impressive 14,763 square kilometers, the Serengeti dwarfs our everyday sense of distance and scale. Home to Africa's legendary 'Big Five' — elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard — the park also offers opportunities to see the graceful impala, one of Africa's most beautiful antelopes. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, making it an unforgettable destination. The focus today is the Central Serengeti, specifically the Seronera region, renowned for its rich wildlife population. The Seronera River is a critical water source, drawing diverse species of animals and making it a prime location for exceptional game viewing. Keep your eyes peeled for lion prides, which dominate this territory, and the fascinating Kopjes — ancient granite outcrops that rise dramatically from the plains and offer shelter to a variety of flora and fauna. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive, surrounded by nature. The day concludes with a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay at your lodge or camp in the Serengeti. Day 2: Full Day in Central Serengeti Today is dedicated to fully immersing yourself in the heart of the Serengeti. You have two options: Option 1: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and depart at 9:00 AM for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, returning to your lodge by 6:00 PM. Option 2: Start with an early morning game drive at 6:00 AM, return for a hearty breakfast and short rest, and head out again with a packed lunch for an afternoon game drive. The Seronera Valley, with its permanent water sources, attracts a large concentration of wildlife all year round. Even during the off-season of the Great Migration, the central Serengeti teems with life. Lion prides, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and hyenas are commonly spotted. The experience of observing predators in their natural environment — stalking, hunting, and playing — offers an incredible insight into the circle of life. With your guide's expert navigation and deep knowledge of animal behavior, you're sure to enjoy many close encounters. After a full day exploring the savanna, you'll return to your accommodation for a sumptuous dinner and a peaceful night's sleep, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush. Day 3: Central Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha / Moshi After an early breakfast, you'll check out and begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with game viewing along the way. A picnic lunch will be provided for the road. By midday, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. This natural amphitheater stretches across 260 square kilometers, with walls rising over 600 meters (2,000 feet) high. The Ngorongoro Crater offers one of the best safari experiences in Africa, thanks to its concentrated biodiversity. During your 5-hour game drive on the crater floor, expect to see elephants, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, buffaloes, lions, and possibly cheetahs. The scenery is just as impressive as the wildlife — from verdant swamps and shimmering lakes to vast open grasslands. In the late afternoon, you'll begin the steep ascent out of the crater and head back toward Arusha or Moshi, a journey of around 4 hours. You'll be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location. End of Safari As your adventure comes to a close, you'll carry with you unforgettable memories of untamed wilderness, thrilling wildlife encounters, and the profound beauty of Tanzania's natural heritage.
